About Me

If I HAD to describe myself… it would probably be pretty similar to how Iron Man describes himself: Genius, Thousand-aire, Philanthropist.

Of course I am kidding.

My name is Braydon Salazar, a current college student with ambitions bigger than the Rocky Mountains. I was born in New York and raised between there and Utah. I am a go-getter who loves solving hard problems and making friends along the way.

Currently studying Mechanical Engineering and Physics (because I am insane), all for the love of rockets because I love the how AND the why.

I am also sworn to the most gorgeous person ever, Kailee, an artistic genius who can talk your ear off about rocks and dinosaurs.

Our household consists of us and two dogs:

• Chichi: an Apple-Head Chihuahua, a somehow living creature that functions off the mass of only 12 atoms who I have to check for signs of life every once in a while.

• Captain: a Corgi/Aussie mix who is an evil genius terror who absolutely will figure out how to break into Fort Knox if he knows it contains something he wants.

Together, their brain cells average to a normal single functioning dog.

I grew up with a fascination with cars, planes, trains, things with engines, space, and everything related. Eventually those excitements merged into the obvious… ROCKETS! I eat, sleep, and BREATHE rockets, and absolutely am excited about propulsion systems for vacuum and space-like conditions. More importantly, I love working with groups and being a team player. Bringing community and friendship to places through peers, coworkers, clients, customers, or management is one of my top goals wherever I go. Also, I am a quick learner, just to keep you on your toes.

I am always trying to live by Doing BIGGER!

I try to live every day by doing B.I.G.G.E.R. and try to base my projects and learning off of this mantra.

What does it mean to Do B.I.G.G.E.R.?
Doing BIGGER is a framework I made and live by as a way to supersize your productivity by always trying to make the most out of these 6 attributes.

• Be Creative! You should always find new, creative ways to look at the world. We need artists as much as we need scientists to pioneer the future.
• Ignite Passion! Inspire others and make people love what they do as much as you love what you do. If you don't love what you do, IGNITE PASSION IN YOURSELF!
• Go More Boldly! A very inspiring peer once told me: "Do everything as bold and as hard as you can, succeed boldly, fail more boldly." Never stop being confident in what you do.
• Get Dirty! If you aren't getting messy, going outside or putting your blood and sweat into your hobbies and goals, are you even trying?!
• Engineer Something! Similarly to being creative, always do your best to strategize and find solutions to problems everywhere.
• Reach For The Stars! Your goals are not high enough! Set 'em so high you'll land on the moon!

I love to spend what little free time I have outdoors with my partner or friends, including hiking mountains, camping, road trips, stargazing, and other adventures that leave you begging to go back.
